Christmas recap and all

Almost a month has gone by that I haven't written in my blog. It's just that life has been so busy. Well, mommy and daddy's life seems to be so busy and I try my best to observe, snoop around, sleep and do mischief.
And there was plenty of mischief this past month:
Let's see.
First there was Christmas. I got lots of stuff for Christmas, like the big white bone that was bigger than me (and I know didn't eat it all, but I can't find it anywhere anymore. Still I continue my search). And a little red collar with bells that Grandma put around my neck. It made me jingle.
That bone was heavy. It took me the whole day of gnawing to get a bite in. And then there was carrying the bone up and down the stairs. It was quite challenging but I managed. I couldn't get it on the sofa. It was too heavy to jump (I bet mommy was happy, she never lets me eat bones on the sofa).

Christmas Tree: Yes, Daddy put up a Christmas tree and Mommy decorated it with shiny gold and silver ornaments. I remember last year I was afraid of the tree and kept barking at it. This year, however, I was just intrigued. It was put right next to my chaise lounge. It smelled so good. I tried to get my nose in it and knock off a few balls to play with. But Mommy kept saying no and moving them further up the tree. They even put up vacuum cleaners around it so I would leave the tree alone during the day. Still I got a hold of one ball and played it with until it shattered. Then grandma came over and was horrified at what I had done and promptly vacuumed the mess. Something about me getting hurt. I never get hurt. I"m invincible.

Eventually I decided that it was time for the tree to come down. It was after Christmas afterall. Earlier in the week mommy had taken down the ornaments. Something about me getting my nose in them again and shattering them. Yeah, so what. What else do they expect me do to during the day, when they leave me home alone. Again, something about me eating them.......and getting hurt.

So all that was left were the lights and the tree. I pulled on the lights and dragged them across the room, hoping I would take them off. Instead the whole tree toppled over. And the water at the base of the tree spilled everywhere on the floor and the carpet. Well at least Mommy won't have to wash my pee off the carpet since it got drenched in water. I was so excited I did a good deed.
Except when Daddy came home he was furious and mad. and I didn't understand why. It was time for the tree to come down!
