Smelling like I should

Finally today, mommy and daddy took me on the trail. It was so nice and sunny outside. I ran and ran and ran. (Especially since yesterday Grandpa took me out for only half an hour and the day before was raining so I didn't go anywhere).

And then when I got far away, I found some delicious stinky poop to roll myself into. Mommy and Daddy were really mad and grossed out. But it finally got that stupid vanilla smell out of my fur!

But they wouldn't let me near them. When we came home, they wouldn't let me into the house. Instead daddy came out weraing gloves and carrying bucket of water, a sponge and puppy shampoo. So of course, I wouldn't let him near me. He had to chase me around. He finally gave up.

But later he washed me up with that dog cleaning spray. I wasn't so happy, but I had to give in because I wanted to go into the house 'cause I was thirsty and tired.

Day at the Spa

As an early Christmas gift, Daddy took me to a doggy day spa at Petsmart.

After our weekly romp on the trail in the woods, we headed to Petsmart, where I thought I was just going to get my regular paw-dicure and ear cleaning done. But instead, he decided to splurge and get me the whole spa treatment. I got a bath with a special shampoo and conditioner. My teeth got brushed and my ear cleaned. Of course, I got a pawdicure as well as a nice vanilla scent on my coat. An then I got a green bandana they wrapped around my neck.

When I made my debut, I looked and smelled stunning. (Althougth I was upset that Daddy left me there alone for 3 hours). But I was good. I behaved ladylike. Even all the Petsmart people, all my stylists, said so. And I've known them for quite some time now.

Mommy was very excited when she saw me. She kept smelling me.......and calling me her vanilla baby.

Then yesterday morning, Grandma and Grandpa came over exclusively to see me (and smell me).

I should get these spa treatment more often.

Clogs, check

I had been eyeing them for months. Mommy's red clogs. Especially the left one. I always tried to take it, lick it and chew it, but Mommy would always take it away from me just in time. Until this morning, when I got a hold of them.

Last night, after she took them off while sitting at the table, I tried to whisk the left one away. But she chased me and got it away from me. (She tricked me with drinking water out of my special ceramic bowl that she put in my cage. While I wasn't looking, because I was drinking water, she took the clog.) She placed both clogs on the chair and tucked the chair under the table. I tried to get them last night, but to no awail.

However, I had the whole day to myself today and I succeeded. How I did it, I'll keep it a secret.

I finally got the left clog. I chewed it up just a bit. I thought it was still wearable, but when Mommy came home, she was quite upset. I guess when you chew through the layers of cushioning on the heel of the clog, you can no longer wear the clog.

She was quite upset.

Mommy's Growing Lazy

As Mommy's belly continues to grow, I feel like she's been ignoring me more and more. First she's almost completely forgotten about my blog -- about chronicling my life adventures. And there are so many of them. With all my barking, and stealing her underwear and all.
Something about her being tired at night. I don't buy it.
Then there is the whole other issue of her not allowing me to jump on her belly and lay on her any more. She keeps putting her hand over her belly every time I'm near. And I just want to show her how much I love her.
And she's stopped walking me all together. I miss that alone time with her. She does come alone sometimes when Daddy walks me, but she no longer holds my leash. Apparently I'm not a good walker. I pull to much and she can't control me. I don't know what's that all about. I just follow my nose when I'm out. And we need to go wherever the nose tell me to.

Still she does hug me all the time. And I know she loves me.
