Mariposa's back

As mommy's stay-home time has ended, so has Mariposa's lull in diary writing.

My life has drastically changed over the last few months -- for both better and worse. For the last four months someone has constantly been home with me (that's the good part) but I've been getting less attention during the day because of some little crying thing that has taken residence in our house.

First, over the winter Mommy's stomach grew and grew. I thought it would explode. But instead Mommy disappeared one day for 4 days and then returned without the belly but holding a little screaming creature that smelled just like Mommy and Daddy. He's still around and Mommy and Daddy fawn over him. I don' t know what the big deal is. All he does is cry sleep eat and poop. (his diapers smell delicious). I guess since he hasn't left yet, he's here to stay. So I've made friends with him. I lick him to show everyone how much I care. Mommy says that in a year or two he will become my best friend. Let's see.

February was my favorite month. It was freezing outside and Mommy (and the crying thing) spent the whole month in bed and I got to cuddle with Mommy too.
