Me not afraid, woof

Mommy told me today that she's so proud of me because I am able to keep up my stamina (actually, have more stamina) than my normal-legged dog friends on the playground.

When I was a baby, I used to be afraid of normal-sized and legged dogs. But not anymore. Well there are still dogs I don't know who scare me (so I run behind Mommy's legs), but those are few and far between.

Today, I fetched the ball much longer than other dogs on the playground (like my friend Ozone, the Weimerraner, and Riley, normal-size poodle). They all got tired out, and I was still fetching and fetching.

I like to play with Ozone. Mommy gets scared because she thinks we play too rough and that Ozone will hurt me. I know he won't. But it would be easier to play if I still didn't have to swear the extra long red leash while I play. It's not like I'll run away or something.

I was wagging my tail that Mommy was proud. This was good because I embarrased her yesterday at Petsmart, where I went for my bi-weekly pawdicure and ear flush. There were two puppies (I forget what sort of puppies), but there were smaller and much younger than me, yet I was the one who rolled over and they were the ones who barked....Mommy was embarrased. She said I should've showed them who's the boss. But they were so barky -- like those little schnautzers, they scared me.

Then there was also a recent incident with Daddy, when we came across three dogs who recently moved up here from a farm in South Carolina: We were near the woods. We were playing and romping around, when suddenly they took off into the woods. They came back holding an animal. They tore it and shred it and killed it. And the animal was squealing and crying. It was soooo horrible. It looked like a big cat, but Daddy later said it was a racoon. I was so scared, I ran all the way home, hunched over, with the tail between my legs.

It was horrible to witness that. I mean eviscaring my stuffed toys or pillows is one thing -- they don't squeal. But tearing apart a live animal; completely different.

Ah, another weekend has come to the close. Let's see what I did. Mommy and Daddy stayed with me all weekend long, except for like an hour or so.

On Saturday morning, all my incessant licking paid off and they took me to the woods. I love the woods....there is so much to sniff and run about. And then let me loose. All was going well until I jumped off the bank into what I thought was mud. It turned out to be muddy waters. I got all dirty and stinky, yeay! But I didn't like the water. Some other dogs were fetching sticks in the river. I didn't want to go in.

Then we went to see Doctor Barcley. But she wasn't there. Another doctor gave me some injection again. He said it may make me sleepy. There were no other dogs to talk in the waiting room so I thought I'd sniff around and explore. The nice lady behind the desk then gave a treat and a raw hide to chew.

Later we went to the university. Daddy went someplace while Mommy and I walked around. There was much goose poop to examine. Then Daddy returned with his hair shorter and we returned home, where Daddy and I played soccer in the back yard.

Today we went for a walk but I was too tired to fetch so we returned home. Then on the porch, Mr. Hoover's sidekick, the Sweeper, was moving around scaring me. He kept being constantly at me feet! I haven't seen Mr. Hoover all day though. He must be lurkcing someplace.

Went out to play

It was a good day today. First Grampa came, unexpected, may I say, and took me out to the dog park. We played and fetched ball.

Then Daddy came and he took me out to the park to play with all my doggie friends. Everyone was there: Daisy, Sidney, and some new dog Wilma. And some other dogs too.

We played, we played and then Mommy showed up in the park. She never does that. She had walked over from someplace all dressed in her work clothing. I, of course, tried to grab her coat, but she wouldn't let me.

We stayed in the park until it got dark.

Oh, and by the way, it was REALLY warm today -- spring is here!!!!!

Tapping my tail till 9 p.m.

Nobody, nobody, not Mommy, not Daddy came home on time.

I had to wait until 9 o'clock, 9 o'clock at night, in the dark (well the little kitchen light was one) and in utter silence for them to come home.

And I had to go out and pee. After all, I had been holding it in since 7 am when they surreptitiously left for work while I ate.

Not to mention that I was not walked today, not in the morning, not after work, and not even Grampa came over to visit me.

Next time, I'll just pee in the house.

When Daddy came home, I played with him. Like I took off his socks, actually, he had none one. But bit his feet and play with him, rough and tough, like we often play. That's what he gets for not taking me out today.

I even tried stealing stuff I'm not supposed to take, like Mommy's slippers, socks, gloves or glasses, so they would chase around the kitchen. But to no avail.

I hope the three little creatures come to visit me soon again. They haven't come over in a long time to play.
